Group size

Activity level

Moderate, uneven garden and forest paths

Location

About this experience

A day designed to be understood, not just visited.

Participants trek along garden paths and forest edges with a local guide and forager who reads this landscape daily. Along the way you meet the wild fruits, leaves, and vegetables that grow in the margins, and learn what can be taken and what must be left alone.

The principles of sustainable harvesting sit at the centre of the walk: seasonality, regeneration rates, and the difference between gathering and stripping a place.

The program closes with a shared lunch, partly cooked from what the group gathered along the route.

Sustainability impact

Harvesting that leaves the place intact

The walk teaches restraint before abundance: which plants regenerate quickly, which need years, and why wild food still requires stewardship.

Guides and foragers are local, paid for their knowledge, and the program is capped at 30 participants so the route is never overwhelmed.

Any program can be combined with a CSR or community-support component, matched to what the host village actually needs at the time of your visit.
