About this experience

A day designed to be understood, not just visited.

The Mangrove Day Tour takes you into one of Bali's most quietly important landscapes, a protected mangrove forest that shelters the island's coastline, filters its water, and supports the fishing communities that live along its edges.

You'll travel by small boat and on foot with local guides who are part of the ongoing restoration work here. Along the way, they'll share how mangroves store carbon, why they matter for storm protection, and what daily stewardship actually looks like when it's your neighborhood.

It's a slow, hands-on day designed for curious travelers who want to understand a place rather than just photograph it. Suitable for families, solo travelers, and small groups who prefer meaningful over rushed.

What to expect

  3. 10:00 AM

Sustainability impact

Why this day matters

Every booking directly funds the community-led restoration plot you visit, including ranger salaries, seedling nurseries, and the long-term monitoring that keeps replanted areas alive past year one.

We run this tour in partnership with Yayasan Svarga Bhumi Nusantara (SBN Foundation), the local NGO coordinating mangrove stewardship in this stretch of coastline. Group sizes are deliberately kept small so the forest, and the people working in it, aren't overwhelmed.
