Our sustainability programs are only possible because a group of people decided Bali needed somewhere to learn waste management properly, not as a campaign but as a skill.
Where it came from
The Bali Waste Management Training Centre (BWMTC) was initiated by the Rotary Club of Bali Denpasar and supported through Rotary Global Grant #2343361. It exists to train villages, schools, and businesses in handling their own waste at the source instead of exporting the problem.
What it teaches
- Separation at source, the step everything else depends on.
- Composting organic waste, including simple bins built from reused containers.
- Reuse and craft: turning discarded material into something with a second life.
- Family medicinal plant gardens (TOGA) grown in recycled containers.
How we work together
Bali Eco Journeys designs and runs the programs on the ground. BWMTC shapes the sustainability content, so the waste education inside an activity is the same material a village would receive in training, adapted for a visiting group.
